Esquire Magazine’s legendary Handbook for Hosts has inspired many of us to throw great parties with the perfect mix of friends, food, music and well-made drinks. It was first published more than 60 years ago so it’s no surprise that the HFH has helped popularize a few quality cocktails over the years. One of our favorites is called the Air Mail and the recipe was premiered in the first edition of the Handbook all the way back in 1949.
Our version of the Air Mail cocktail stays true to the original recipe and makes a wonderfully bubbly treat on New Year’s Eve or any other night of the year. Our Merchant’s Reserve rum combined with lime, honey and champagne makes a simple and refreshing drink that packs a serious punch. Make one for your friends at tonight’s New Year’s bash or tomorrow morning at brunch. As always, enjoy responsibly and let us know what you think.
Cheers and Happy New Year!
